Roman concrete was a material that the Romans used in there constuction work. the Romans did not invent concrete, the greeks did, but the the Romans improved it to where the longer you keep it siting the harder it will get. they also made the concrete so it can go underwater. The Romans used concrete for mostly everything that they had built. One of the main things that the Romans used there concrete for was the Roman Coloseum. One major defect was it was unsightly. Once the wooden formwork was removed, it showed an ugly surface.

The Roman colosseum was built In between 73-75 A.D. and was almost completed in 70 A.D. the Roman colosseum was built in Rome italy. The ones who came up with the idea were the Flavium dynasty is the roman emperor family they came up with the idea of the Roman Colosseum. The ones that really built it was 100,000 prisoners/slaves and hundreds of skilled masons. The reason why they built the roman colosseum was because the emperor Vespasian made the decision that he did want to build it. Then the infamous Nero said quickly followed In his reign. The material they used in the roman colosseum was Travertine limestone, tuff or tofu, cement tiles, and bricks and marble.
